What else can you do with the tangle flux?
Participants enjoying the moment.
The Zentangle Method is a relaxing, easy-to-learn drawing practice that uses simple, repetitive patterns to create beautiful artwork. It's designed to promote mindfulness, focus, and creativity—one stroke at a time.
Not at all! No artistic experience is required. Every pattern is taught step by step, making it easy for beginners to follow along. Many people are surprised by what they create.
Each workshop includes guided instruction, demonstrations, and plenty of time to create your own artwork. You'll learn new tangles (patterns), practice mindfulness, and leave with a completed piece that is uniquely yours.
Most workshops last about 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to relax, learn, and create without feeling rushed.
Your registration includes all drawing materials needed for the workshop, including paper tiles, pens, pencils, blending tools, and any specialty materials used for that particular project.
Just bring yourself! If you wear reading glasses for close-up work, you may find them helpful. Everything else is provided.
Wear comfortable clothing. While the materials are generally clean, you may be working with graphite or other art supplies.
Most public workshops are designed for adults and teens ages 12 and older. Younger participants may attend select family workshops or with prior approval when accompanied by an adult.
Everyone learns the same techniques and tangles, but every finished piece is unique. The beauty of Zentangle is that no two creations are ever exactly alike.
One of the wonderful principles of the Zentangle Method is that there are no mistakes—only opportunities for creativity. Unexpected lines often become the most interesting parts of a design.
It's more of a guided creative experience than a traditional art class. You'll receive instruction while also having the freedom to make your artwork your own.
